Distribution; world
In continental Europe its distribution extends east to Romania and south to Spain and Italy (Warncke, 1973). It is, however, very rare in Fennoscandia (recorded from Finland by Schmiedeknecht (1907), but omitted from Elfving's list (1968). It is also listed as rare in Germany (Westrich et al., 1997):
