Distribution; world
Mediterranean and Black Sea countries, from Iberia to the Balkans and eastern Europe. It is also found at altitudes up to 1,600 m in the Alps.
Outside of Europe, the species is found in Iran (Ardabil):

This species is abundant in central and south-eastern Europe. The populations of Hylaeus kahri are scattered but there is no information available on the population trend of this species.
