Distribution; world
This species is known from isolated localities in the whole Palearctic region; it is not particularly abundant in the warmer regions, such as the Mediterranean or southern parts of Europe. Authors in Fennoscandia regard the species as a recent arrival (Soderman & Leionen, 2003):
