Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) pallens (BRULLÉ, 1832)

Excavator: Ground. Nests are constructed in sparsely vegetated places. (Westrich 1989). Marikovskaya (1990) describes a nest (apparently of this species) excavated in Kazakhstan. The cell cluster was completely surrounded by an air chamber, with the cells arranged vertically. The length of the cells was 12mm, the curvature of the outer surface was 1-3 mm longer than the inner side. The maximum internal diameter of 4.5mm, the minimum 2.5mm. The inside of the cell is smooth and contains frass in the lower part in the form of light "cake."

This is a solitary species.
