Heriades (Heriades) crenulata NYLANDER, 1856

Renter: Existing cavities; Dead Wood nester. Nests mainly in burrows in dead wood, but will also use cavities in wooden buildings and thatched roofs, forming small aggregations.

Nesting material: The nests are linear, with cells separated by partitions which are made of resin. The outer surface of the plug made with a mixture of resin, small particles of wood, and minute pebbles. There are 4-12 cells in the nest (Banaszak & Romasenko,1998).
