Hylaeus (Paraprosopis) clypearis (SCHENCK, 1853)

Renter: Existing cavities. Nests in existing cavities (eg beetle emergence holes and larval tunnels in old wood - also in dry stems of Rubus and Rosa) (Westrich, 1989).

Janvier (1969) reported this species nesting in abandoned nests of solitary wasps, and in the stems of Rosa and Ailanthus. The species will also nest in dry Rubus stems (Benoist, 1959).
