Ceratina (Euceratina) chalybea Chevrier, 1872

Excavator: Stems. The nesting behaviour has been particularly well studied by Malyshev (1913). The species nests principally in the stems of Rubus (cf R. ulmifolius). J. Leclerq noted nesting in a stem of Dipsacus sp.

In Georgia, a nest was found in the stem of Ailanthus sp. (Terzo, 2000)
