Andrena (Notandrena) chrysosceles (KIRBY, 1802)

Excavator: Ground. For so common a bee remarkably little seems to be known about its nesting habits, but nests seem to occur mainly as isolated burrows.

In eastern Europe it is reported to nest solitarily in both sandy and loamy banks and precipices (Kocourek, 1966).
