Andrena (Plastandrena) bimaculata (KIRBY, 1802)

Excavator: Ground. Nesting burrows of this bee are widely scattered or in small aggregations (at most two to three per aggregation)(R.C.L. Perkins, 1919g).

In continental Europe, this species nests solitarily in grassy slopes (Kocourek, 1966; Westrich, 1989). Nest described by Malyshev (1926, 1936).
