Andrena (Taeniandrena) similis Smith 1849

Excavator: Ground. According to R.C.L. Perkins (1919g), the species sometimes forms compact and fairly large nesting aggregations. These are now rarely encountered.

In continental Europe, Dylewska (1987) states that this species nests solitarily with its nests are built into the ground in sandy or clay soil (Tomozei & Radchenko, 2015)
