Megachile (Callomegachile) sculpturalis Smith, 1853

Renter: Existing Cavities & Mason. Female Megachile sculpturalis construct brood cells in existing cavities in stems or dead wood (Tsuneki 1970). A female can complete about 10 cells.

Nesting material: Nests are built from resin, separated from each other with mud or bits of rotten wood. If the entrance of the nesting tube is directly exposed to the outside, the tube may be noticeably sealed with a resin, wood, and sometimes mud, cap.
