Hoplitis (Anthocopa) furcula (Morawitz, 1875)

Excavator; Ground. Excavated short burrow in the ground with one cell (of 1cm length) at the end at a depth of 2cm.

Nesting material: The cells are entirely built of 7-8 layers of petals of Geranium. The burrow leading to the cell is partly lined with 2-3 layers of Geranium petals. (Marikovskaya, 1995)
