Hoplitis (Alcidamea) caularis (Morawitz, 1875)

Excavator: stems. The females excavate tunnels in the pith of dry stems. The nest is linear.

Nesting material: The cells are separated by partitions constructed of leaf mastic. The cocoon is cylindrical. (Banaszak and Romasenko, 2001)
