Cleptoparasitic: Hosts; In the British Isles and on the Continent, this species commonly associates with Andrena wilkella, upon which it is doubtless cleptoparasitic (R.C.L. Perkins, 1919g, 1923; F.K. Stöckhert, 1933; Spooner, 1946). It possibly also attacks A. fucata (F.K. Stöckhert, 1933).
On the continent, Westrich (1989) abd Smit (2018) additionally list A. ratisbonensis, A. gelriae, A. similis and, possibly, A intermedia and A. pandellei as hosts.
