Cleptoparasitic: Hosts; Andrena flavipes (e.g. R.C.L. Perkins, 1919g; Richards, 1944; Chambers, 1949; Smit, 2018). In Devon, G.M. Spooner (pers. comm.) watched a female follow an A. flavipes to its burrow. In some localities specimens have been collected where A. flavipes seems to be absent and it is thus possible that another host or hosts may be involved in these sites. F. Smith (1844b) reports the bee entering the nesting burrows of Colletes succinctus and, in his 1876 book, he gives Halictus rubicundus and Lasioglossum leucozonium as hosts.
