Cleptoparasitic: Hosts; A cleptoparasite of several moderate-sized halictids: Halictus rubicundus (Alfken, 1913; Carr, 1916; R.C.L. Perkins, 1923, 1924; Hallett, 1928), Lasioglossum albipes (Alfken, 1913), L. calceatum (R.C.L. Perkins, 1945; Guichard & Yarrow, 1948), L. xanthopus (Hallett, 1928), L. laticeps (Packer,1983), L. malachurum (F.K. Stöckhert, 1933) and L. zonulus (Alfken, 1913). L. Packer (pers. comm.) has also retrieved a female from a L. malachurum nest on the Isle of Wight. In Dorset, I have encountered many specimens flying over a nesting aggregation of L. laticeps. In Devon, G.M. Spooner (pers. comm.) has observed a female investigating burrows of Andrena barbilabris. A. flavipes is stated to be a host by Butterfield & Fordham (1932) (Else & Edwards, 2018).
The female of this species is known to kill the female Lasioglossum malachura when invading the latter's nest (Legewie, 1925).
Marikovskaya (1990) suggests that Lasioglossum calceatum may be a host in Kazakhstan
Celary (1991) lists the following as possible hosts: Halictus rubicundus, Lasioglossum zomulus, L. calceatum, L. albipes, L. malachura, L. quadrinotatulum.
