A polylectic species. (Goverde et al., 2002) list Betonica officinalis (Lamiaceae) as an important forage source in the Swiss Jura Mountains.

(Ranunculaceae); Rubus idaeus (Rosaceae); Trifolium repens, Trifolium pratense, Lotus corniculatus (Fabaceae); Swertia perennis (Gentianaceae); Echium vulgare, Symphytum officinale (Boraginaceae); Ajuga reptans, Lamium album, Stachys palustris, Prunella vulgaris (Lamiaceae); Odontites sp., Odontites verna (Scrophulariaceae); Arctium sp., Carduus sp., Cirsium sp., Cirsium vulgare, Cirsium palustre, Centaurea jacea, Leontodon autumnalis (Asteraceae)
