Lasioglossum (Lasioglossum) pallens (BRULLÉ, 1832)

Almost certainly a polylectic species. Westrich (1989) has studied two pollen loads and found the following plant species were utilised as pollen sources: Brassicaceae, Rosaceae, Stellaria (Caryophyllaceae) and Ranunculus (Ranunculaceae).

Pauly (2008) lists: Ranunculus spp. (Ranunculaceae); Taraxacum spp. (Asteraceae); Salix spp. (Salicaceae); Prunus spp. (Rosaceae).

Ebmer lists visitation to Salix (Salicaceae); Potentilla, Prunus spinosa (Rosaceae).

Records on Lesvos (cited in Grace, 2010) are from Asphodelus ramosus (Asphodelaceae); Smyrnium perfoliatum (Apiaceae) and Geranium lucidum (Geraniaceae).

Reported to be a visitor to Almond (Prunus dulcis - Rosaceae) and Cherry (Prunus spp.) in the orchards of highland Jordan.
