Oligolectic: An oligolege of Crocus (Iridaceae). The species has specially modified mouthparts for accessing the flowers. Michez et al (2013) state that the species prefers to forage on the flowers of Crocus, Sternbergia lutea (Amaryllidaceae) and possibly other bulbous host plants. It also occurs on Hieracium spp., Taraxacum spp. (Asteraceae) and Sternbergia sicula (Amaryllidaceae) from which it collects nectar.
