Osmia (Metallinella) brevicornis (FABRICIUS, 1798)

An oligolectic species. In Germany, Westrich (1989) lists the following pollen sources: Brassica rapa, Brassica nigra, Brassica oleracea, Sinapis arvensis, Lunaria annua, Lunaria rediviva, Cheiranthus cheiri, Sisymbrium officinale, Hesperis matronalis, Erysimum crepidifolium, Erysimum helveticum (Brassicaceae).(Amiet et al., 2004; Müller et al., 1997; Westrich, 1989; Stanisavljević, 2000; A. Müller, unpublished, based on 38 pollen samples from 28 different localities).

Pesenko in Banaszak (1995) state that trhis is an oligolectic species, specialising in Brassicaceae

Rust et al (2004) cite Erysimum rhaeticum (Brassicaceae) as a pollen forage source.

Vereecken (in litt., 2007) reports foraging on Brassica (Brassicaceae) in Switzerland and Praz et al (2008) list Brassica napus and Sinapis arvensis (Brassicaceae). Jelle Devalez (in litt., 2018) reports visitation to Hirschfeldia and Sisymbrium (Brassicaceae)
