Details of the lectic status of this species are not known. However, Ebmer (1971) lists Stachys (Lamiaceae) as a forage species.
A. Pauly (pers. comm) gives the following forage species: Medicago sativa, Trifolium sp. (Fabaceae); Stachys sp., Thymus sp. (Lamiaceae).
