Mueller (1996) states that this is a polylectic species, with a strong preference for Papilionoideae (Fabaceae) pollen. Pollen analysis revealed the following pollen sources: Fabaceae, with smaller amounts of Brassicaceae, Apiaceae, Boraginaceae, Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Asteraceae.
