Almost certainly a polylectic species. Pollen sources not known for Britain.
In Germany it has been reported to collect Vaccinium myrtillus and V. vitis-idaea (Ericaceae) pollen (Westrich, 1989).
Flowers visited Rubus, Potentilla (Rosaceae); Sedum (Crassulaceae); Salix (Salicaceae); Calluna vulgaris, Vaccinium myrtillus (Ericaceae); Jasione montana (Campanulaceae);Succisa pratensis (Dipsacaceae); Senecio jacobaea, Cirsium vulgare, C. arvense, Hypochoeris radicata, Sonchus, Taraxacum (Asteraceae).
Ebmer (1971) lists: Arabis (Brassicaceae); Salix (Salicaceae); Vaccinium, Calluna (Ericaceae); Solidago, Tussilago (Asteraceae).
Bossert (2014) reports foraging at Leontodon sp. (Asteraceae); Potentilla sp. (Rosaceae) and Myosotis sp. (Boraginaceae) in the Austrian Tyrol
