Andrena (Hoplandrena) trimmerana (KIRBY, 1802)

Presumed to be polylectic, but pollen sources not established. Individuals of the spring brood visit Ranunculus ficaria (Ranunculaceae); Ulex europaea (Fabaceae); Prunus spinosa (Rosaceae); Smyrnium olusatrum (Apiaceae); Salix (Salicaceae); Rhododendron (Ericaceae) and Taraxacum (Asteraceae); those of the summer brood fly to Rubus (Rosaceae) and white Apiaceae.

In Europe, pollen sources include Taraxacum (Asteraceae); Prunus (Rosaceae) and Salix (Salicaceae)(Westrich 1989).

Knuth (1906) citing himself and others, reports visitation to Ranunculus sp. (Ranunculaceae).

Tomozei & Radchenko (2015), citing others, state that in Ukraine the females (first generation) collect pollen from flowers of Amygdalus communis, Prunus spinosa, Prunus cerasus (Rosaceae); Salix purpurea (Salicaceae);Taraxacum officinale (Asteraceae); Lamium purpureum (Lamiaceae); The second generation visits Cornus sanguinea (Cornaceae); Stachys (Lamiaceae) and species of Asteraceae. (Osytshnjuk 1977). In the former Czechoslovakia, the females were recorded on flowers of Salix (Salicaceae); Rhamnus cathartica (Rhamnaceae); Taraxacum officinale, Tussilago farfara (Asteraceae); Ribes grossularia (Grossulariaceae); Berberis vulgaris (Berberidaceae); Brassica napus (Brassicaceae); Acer campestre (Aceraceae); Vaccinium myrtillus (Ericaceae); Crataegus oxyacantha, Potentilla verna, Cerasus and Spiraea (Rosaceae)(Kocourek 1966).

In southern Europe, the males are pollinators of Ophrys fusca and Ophrys lutea (Orchidaceae) through pseudocopulation (Vázquez Pardo 2009).
