Supposedly polylectic, but no pollen analysis is available (Westrich, 1989). The species visits Rubus (Rosaceae); Origanum vulgare (Lamiaceae); Eupatorium cannabinum and Cirsium arvense and Senecio (Asteraceae).
Söderman & Leinonen, (2003) cite Centaurea jacea (Asteraceae) as a forage plant.
Kemp et al (2014) state that the females collect pollen from flowers of Asteraceae, Rosaceae, Lamiaceae, Campanulaceae, and Ericaceae.
