Osmia (Hoplosmia) distinguenda (Tkalců, 1974)

Oligolectic on Asteraceae with a clear or even exclusive preference for Carduoideae (A. Müller, unpublished, based on 25 pollen samples from 10 different localities and on field observations).

Müller (2018) in a further study (based on 34 pollen samples from 19 different localitiesfrom across the distribution range and on field observations) showed that 23 pollen loads analysed were pure Centaurea pollen and 5 were thistle pollen. 6 samples contained pollen of both Centaurea and thistles .

Müller (2018) also lists the following visitation data: Centaurea crocodylium, Centaurea hyalolepis, Centaurea iberica (Asteraceae).
