Polylectic with a strong preference for Fabaceae (A. Müller, various publications; Stanisavljević, 2000) additional pollen sources include Cistaceae, Reseda (Resedaceae), Echium (Boraginaceae), Lamiaceae, Crassulaceae and Campanulaceae (Amiet et al., 2004; Westrich, 1989; A. Müller, unpublished, based on 40 pollen samples from 32 different localities).

Mavromoustakis (1948; 1951) reports the following forage sources in Cyprus: Lithospermum hispidulum (Boraginaceae); Vicia cracca elegans (Fabaceae)

Fateryga (2017) reports foraging at Vicia villosa (Fabaceae) in the Krasnodar region of the North Caucasus (Russia).
