Oligolectic: Salix (Salicaceae). Radchenko (2015), citing others, states that it forages at Salix sp. (Salicaceae) (Warncke 1981). It was also noted as an effective pollinator of the orchid Cypripedium calceolus (Orchidaceae) through pseudocopulation (Antonelli et al. 2009)
Pawlikowski & Kruszynski (1997) list Salix viminalis (Salicaceae) as a forage source in Poland.
Pekkarinen (1998) lists Salix (Salicaceae) as the pollen source in Finland.
