Polylectic: In Germany the species is polylectic, foraging for pollen from species in the plant families Aceraceae, Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Rosaceae, Salicaceae and Scrophulariaceae (Westrich, 1989).
Finnish flower records include Sedum acre (Crassulaceae) and Aegopodium podagraria (Apiaceae)(Söderman & Leinonen, 2003).
Tomozei (2014), citing others, states that the females forage on Brassicaceae, Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Lamiaceae, Rosaceae and Plantaginaceae species (Kocourek 1966, Osytschnjuk 1977, Dylewska 1987, Schmid-Egger 2011).
Dardón Peralta (2010), citing Warncke (1966) and Gusenleitner (1985), reports that this is probably a polylectic species, which visits various Apiaceae; Brassica sp. (Brassicaceae); Malus domestica (Rosaceae); Veronica sp. (Plantaginaceae)
