Habropoda tarsata (Spinola, 1838)

Presumably a polylectic species.The males of the species can be found on the flowers of Prunus persica and Prunus amygdalus (Rosaceae) while the females can be found on Coronilla varia (Fabaceae), Anchusa (Boraginaceae) and Ajuga (Lamiaceae) (Iuga 1958). It also forages very frequently on Rosmarinus officinalis (Lamiaceae) and Cytisus (Fabaceae) species (P. Rasmont pers. obs. 2014).

Data gathered from specimens and observations list the following forage species: Cercis siliquastrum, Dorycnium hirsutum, Vicia villosa (Fabaceae); Scolymus hispanicus (Asteraceae); Anchusa strigosa, Anchusa undulata (Boraginaceae); Cardaria draba (Brassicaceae); Reseda alba (Resedaceae); Prasium majus, Salvia fruticosa, Stachys cretica ssp cretica (Lamiaceae); Asphodelus aestivus, Asphodelus ramosus (Liliaceae); Anemone coronaria (red colour) (Ranunculaceae).
