Anthidium (Proanthidium) oblongatum (Illiger, 1806)

Polylectic: visiting a wide range of plants, but with a preference for. Fabaceae (Amiet et al., 2004).

Westrich (1989) lists the following species as pollen sources: Sedum reflexum, Sedum spurium, Sedum album, Sedum acre, Sempervivum arachnoideum (Crassulaceae); Lotus corniculatus, Onobrychis viciifolia, Melilotus officinalis (Fabaceae); Reseda lutea, Reseda luteola (Resedaceae).

Pollen analysis (Mueller, 1996) revealed the following pollen sources: Resedaceae, Crassulaceae, Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Liliaceae and Campanulaceae. Muller cites Sedum album (Crassulaceae); Onobrychis viciifolia, Lotus corniculatus (Fabaceae) as pollen sources in Switzerland.

Stanisavljević (2000), copying Banaszak & Romasenko (1998), lists the following species as forage sources: Melilotus, Trifolium, Lotus corniculatus (Fabaceae).

Ivanov et al. (2005) state that the species is polylectic but prefers Fabaceae.
