Pseudoanthidium (Royanthidium) melanurum (Klug, 1832)

Mueller (1996) lists this as an oligolectic species, specialising in Cardueae (Asteraceae) pollen. It is also reported to visit various Asteraceae by Amiet et al. (2004).

Pollen analysis (Muller, 1996) revealed the following pollen sources: Asteraceae, with traces of Fabaceae. Muller cites Centaurea vallesiaca (Asteraceae) as a pollen source in Italy.
