Polylectic.Louakou et al (2008), citing Müller (1996) and Banaszak & Romasenko (1998) state that A. florentinum is polylectic and forages pollen from Fabaceae and Lamiaceae as the preferred sources.

Stanisavljević (2000), citing Banaszak & Romasenko (1998) lists the following plants as forage sources: Vicia, Genista, Medicago, Astragalus, Melilotus (Fabaceae); Lamium, Leonurus, Mentha, Hyssopus (Lamiaceae).

Mavromoustakis (1960) lists the following forage sources on Rhodos: Scabiosa maritima (Dipsacaceae); Rubus ulmifolius anatolicus (Rosaceae); Vitex agnus-castus (Verbenaceae) and Ballota sp. (Lamiaceae). Mavromoustakis (1948; 1952) lists Rubus ulmifolius anatoli­cus (Rosaceae) as a forage source in Cyprus.

Mueller cites Rubus (Rosaceae) as a pollen source in Italy and Ivanov et al. (2005) start that the species is polylectic and prefers Fabaceae and Lamiaceae.

Matache & Ban (2007) list Medicago sativa (Fabaceae) and Anethum graveolens (Apiaceae) as forage sources in Romania.
