Details of the lectic status of this species are not known, however, it is suggested that it is polylectic, but with a preference for Fabaceae (Muller, 1996; Amiet et al., 2004) citing Ononis natrix (Fabaceae) as a pollen source in Switzerland.
Pollen analysis (Muller, 1996) revealed the following pollen sources: Fabaceae with small amounts of Caryophyllaceae, Brassicaceae, Cistaceae, Apiaceae, Boraginaceae, Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Asteraceae.
