A polylectic species: Known pollen sources include Daucus carota, Anthriscus sylvestris, Heracleum sphondylium, Eryngium campestre (Apiaceae), Achillea millefolium, Leucanthemum vulgare, Tripleurospermum inodorum, Erigeron annuus, Solidago canadensis, Centaurea jacea, Cirsium arvense, Cirsium vulgare (Asteraceae), Campanula rotundifolia, Jasione montana, (Campanulaceae), Epilobium angustifolium (Onagraceae), Rubus fruticosus, Potentilla reptans (Rosaceae) (Westrich, 1989).

Mavromoustakis (1930) writing on the bees of Rhodos (Greece) lists Apiaceae (as Umbelliferae) and Thymus capitatus (Lamiaceae) as forage sources

Pawlikowski & Kruszynski (1997) list Pimpinella saxifraga (Apiaceae) as a forage source in Poland.
