Probably polylectic: In Spain, it is known to visit plants in the family Apiaceae, Ericaceae, Lamiaceae and Asteraceae (Ornosa & Ortiz-Sánchez, 2004). In Cyprus it has been found at flowers of Sisymbrium, Sinapis (Brassicaceae); Ceratonia siliqua (Fabaceae); Dittrichia viscosa (Asteraceae)(S. Roberts pers. obs.)
Various authors (cited in Grace, 2010) list Ferula, Peucedanum anisum, Daucus carota (Apiaceae) and Alhaga maurorum (=pseudoalhaga)(Fabaceae) as forage resources (under Prosopis brevicornis var. ambigua). Mavromoustaklis (1948) (listing the species as Prosopis brevicornis var. ambigua) gives the following forage resources in Cyprus: Sinapis alba (Brassicaceae); Rubus ulmifolius anatolicus (Rosaceae); Eryngium creticum (Apiaceae) and Polygonum equisetiforme (Polygonaceae)
