It has been recorded on Rosmarinus officinalis (Lamiaceae) and Muscari comosa (Friese 1896), Onobrychis viciifolia (Fabaceae)(Dusmet y Alonso 1926), Anchusa officinalis (Boraginaceae); Nepeta cataria, Salvia spp. (Lamiaceae)(Iuga 1958). Males of this species have been found to be abundant on Ophrys scolopax (Orchidaceae)(Vereecken et al. 2007) due to the sexually deceptive flowers of this species.
