Oligolectic: The species will visit a wide range of Brassicaceae: Known forage plants include Sinapis arvensis, Cakile maritima, Hirschfeldia incana, Diplotaxis erucoides and Raphanus raphanistrum.

Mavromoustakis (1948; 1951; 1954) reports visits to unspecified Asteraceae, Scandix pecten-veneris (Apiaceae) and Sinapis alba (Brassicaceae) in Cyprus.

Single specimens were recorded on Anacyclus radiatus (Asteraceae) (Warncke 1980). Furthermore, in Tunisia and eastern Algeria it is noted as a pollinator of Ophrys battandieri (Orchidaceae) through pseudo-copulation by the male (Paulus and Salkowski 2007, Paulus 2007).
