Polylectic with affinity for Rosaceae, Apiaceae and Helianthemum (Cistaceae). Chambers (1968) lists the following as forage species: Ranunculus (Ranunculaceae); Sinapis, Barbarea vulgaris (Brassicaceae);Helianthemum nummularium (Cistaceae); Rubus idaeus, R. caesius, Rosa, Potentilla (Rosaceae); Chaerophyllum temulentum (Apiaceae); Veronica (Scrophulariaceae); Rumex acetosella (Polygonaceae)

Tomozei (2014) citing others states: The species is polylectic, in that it prefers to forage upon a wide range of flowering plants species. The species was recorded in Poland on flowers of 37 plant species from 16 families, with preference towards Rosaceae (48%), Asteraceae (14%), Brassicaceae (7%) and Apiaceae (5%).

Müller (2018) agrees that this species is polylectic (17 plant families) with affinity for Rosaceae, Apiaceae and Helianthemum (Cistaceae). His detailed list includes: Sanguisorba officinalis, Potentilla (Rosaceae); Apiaceae, Helianthemum (Cistaceae); Lonicera (Caprifoliaceae); Plantago sp. (Plantaginaceae); Brassicaceae; Campanulaceae; Polygonum bistorta (Polygonaceae); Ranunculaceae; Acer sp. (Aceraceae); Ilex (Aquifoliaceae); Juncaceae; Cornus sp. (Cornaceae); Asteraceae (Carduoideae); Vaccinium (Ericaceae); Euphorbia (Euphorbiaceae).
