An oligolectic species specialising on Brassicaceae (Friese 1914, Pittioni and Schmidt 1943, Kocourek 1966, Ponomareva 1960, Osytshnjuk 1977, Radchenko and Pesenko 1994, Zettel et al. 2013). Mavromoustakis (1930) lists Hirschfeldia incana (Brassicaceae) as a forage source.
Females have also been recorded on the flowers of Fabaceae, Liliaceae, Asteraceae, Cucurbitaceae, Malvaceae and Dipsacaceae.
