Andrena (Lepidandrena) pandellei PÉREZ, 1895

An oligolectic species, specialising on Campanula (Campanulaceae )(Pesenko in Banaszak, 1995).

Dylewska (1987) lists the following forage sources: Campanula sp. (Campanulaceae); Taraxacum officinale (Asteraceae); Veronica chamaedrys (Scrophulariaceae); Trifolium (Fabaceae); Sinapis arvensis (Brassicaceae).

Westrich (1989) states that the species is strongly oligolectic on Campanula (Campanulaceae) and lists the following pollen sources: Campanula patula, Campanula glomerata, Campanula rapunculus, Campanula sibirica. males are also known to visit Geranium sp. (Geraniaceae) for nectar.

Radchenko (2015), citing others, states that it is associated with Campanulaceae; (Westrich 1989, Radchenko and Pesenko 1994) such as Campanula patula, C. rapunculoides and C. sibirica. However, sometimes the females visit flowers of the Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Plantaginaceae, Rosaceae and Brassicaecae (Kocourek 1966) so perhaps the species is broadly oligolectic.

The males of Andrena pandellei have been recorded pollinating Ophrys sphegodes (Orchidaceae) by pseudocopulation (Devillers and Devillers-Terschuren; 2004)
