An oligolectic species, specialising in Campanulaceae (Pesenko in Banaszak, 1995). Tomozei (2014), citing others, states that the species will visit Campanula (Campanulaceae) species in central and southern Europe, but also Eurphorbia sp.(Euphorbiaceae); Knautia arvensis (Dipsacaceae); Phlomis (Lamiaceae) and Hirschfeldia incana (Brassicaceae) in Ukraine and Moldova (Kocourek 1966, Osytshnjuk 1977, Dylewska 1987).
