In Spain, Espeso & Gayubo (1988) recorded the species on Foeniculum vulgare (Apiaceae) and Gayubo et al. (1989) on Pimpinella villosa (Apiaceae).
In Romania, Iuga (1962) may have confused this species with C. callosa when he cited it amongst the pollinators of commercial Apples (Malus sylvestris) and Pears (Pyrus communis )(Rosaceae).
In Ukraine, Osychnyuk (1959) and Pesenko (1974) may also have confused the species with C. callosa in reporting visits to Ajuga genevensis, Salvia nemorosa, Stachys recta (Lamiaceae), Allium cepa (Liliaceae), Cerinthe minor (Boraginaceae), Lythrum salicaria (Lythraceae), Onosma sp. (Boraginaceae), Phacelia tanacetifolia (Hydrophyllaceae), and Veronica verna (Scrophulariaceae).
