Megachile (Chalicodoma) ericetorum Lepeletier, 1841

Oligolectic. In Germany on species in the family Fabaceae. Banaszak & Romasenko (1998) additionally cite Lamiaceae. (Westrich, 1989) lists the following species: Lotus corniculatus, Lathyrus latifolius, Lathyrus heterophyllus, Lathyrus sylvestris, Lathyrus tuberosus, Lathyrus odoratus, Ononis spinosa, Coronilla varia, Melilotus alba, Pisum sativum, Phaseolus coccineus (Fabaceae).

Banaszak & Romasenko (1989) list Melilotus, Cytisus, Astragalus and, especially, Lotus corniculatus (Fabaceae) as forage sources. Stanisavljevic (2000) adds records on Lamiaceae (Salvia and Stachys).

Pekkarinen (1998) lists the following genera as pollen sources in Finland: Astragalus, Lathyrus, Lotus, Ononis, Phaseolus, Pisum, Trifolium and Vicia. (Fabaceae).

Jannsons (2003) lists Glycine (Fabaceae) as a forage source in Belgium and Ivanov et al. (2005) state that the species is oligolectic on Fabaceae. It is reported to visit Ononis natrix (Fabaceae) in Spain (Ortiz-Sanchez et al., 2012)
