Narrowly oligolectic on Fabaceae (Westrich, 1989; Müller, 2018). Pollen sources not established for Britain but the species is presumed to collect pollen from Lotus corniculatus and Hippocrepis comosa, the only plants observed to be visited by the bee (pers. obs.). This observation is supported by Banaszak & Romasenko (1989) and copied by Stanisavljević (2000).
Flowers visited: In addition to the two species mentioned above, the bee has also been recorded visiting Glechoma hederacea (Lamiaceae) (F.Smith, 1876) and Ranunculus (Ranunculaceae) (C. Clee, pers. comm.).
