Apparently oligolectic on Jasione montana (Campanulacae) in both Britain and on the Continent (Mortimer, 1913; Schmiedeknecht, 1930; F.K. Stöckhert, 1933; Ebmer, 1984; Westrich, 1989).
Pekkarinen (1998) lists Jasione montana (Campanulaceae) as the pollen source in Finland.
Flowers visited: Hamann (1960) also lists Campanula rotundifolia (Campanulaceae)
In Poland the species is regarded as being oligolectic on Campanulaceae (Pesenko, Banaszak et al., 2000)
