Polylectic: British pollen sources not known. Flowers visited: Crepis capillaris (Asteraceae)(quoted as C. virens by E. Saunders (1879)).

In Germany, pollen records from species in the families Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Campanulaceae, Fabaceae, Liliaceae, Ranunculaceae, Rosaceae and Salicaceae
(Westrich, 1989).

Ebmer (1969) lists the following species as forage plants: Daucus, Heracleum, Pecedanaum (Apiaceae); Taraxacum, Achillea, Solidago (Asteraceae); Papaver rhoeas (Papaveraceae); Glechoma (Lamiaceae).

In Finland, it is reported to visit Potentilla (Rosaceae); and Solidago virgaurea (Asteraceae)(Söderman & Leinonen, 2003)
