Possibly oligolectic: Asteraceae (Pesenko in Banaszak, 1995; Scheuchl, in prep.).
Pollen source not known, but the bee seems mainly to visit Senecio, though there are single British records for Crepis capillaris (Asteraceae)and Lythrum (Lythraceae). The females collect pollen from flowers of Asteraceae (Picris spp., Leontodon spp., Inula spp., Senecio spp.). Few details of ecology is known, but several other members of this species group are closely associated with the flowers of Asteraceae (Radchenko & Roberts, 2013.)
