Polylectic with a strong preference for Asteraceae, Westrich (1989) lists the following forage species Cichorium, Picris, Hieracium, Leontodon and Hypochoeris
Dylewska lists the following forage species: Cichorium intybus, Hieracium pilosella, Leontodon (Asteraceae); Thymus serpyllum (Lamiaceae); Convolvulus arvensis (Convolvulaceae); Potentilla argentata (Rosaceae).
Pesenko in Banaszak (1995) also states that this is an oligolectic species, specialising in Asteraceae.
Ban & Tomozei (2006) list Asteraceae, but also state the species can be found at Potentilla (Rosaceae)
Radchenko (2015), citing others, states that the species is broadly oligolectic, in that it prefers to forage upon a narrow range of flowering plant species, primarily of Asteraceae species, but it also rarely occurs on Rosaceae, Cucurbitaceae (Osytshnjuk 1977), Fabaceae (Radchenko 1982) and Apiaceae (Demyanova et al. 2007).
