Probably oligolectic: Daucus carota (Apiaceae) is the only known pollen source in Germany (Westrich, 1989).
In Finland, the species is reported to visit Pimpinella saxifraga (Apiaceae) (Söderman & Leinonen, 2003). Pekkarinen (1998) lists: Aegopodium, Carum, Heracleum and Pimpinella.
Kemp et al (2014), citing Westrich, states that the species is a pollen specialist on Apiaceae and has been recorded principally at Daucus carota.
